2013 Bridgestone Invitational: Tee times, pairings for Saturday

Sam Greenwood

Tiger Woods takes a commanding lead into the third round thanks to his outstanding play on Friday.

The third round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational is getting off to a late start Saturday because PGA Tour officials are expecting bad weather to hit the area early in the morning. In an effort to make sure the round gets completed in one day, players will be playing in threesomes, and there will be split starts from both the first tee and the 10th.

With this being a no-cut limited field WGC event, getting in the final 36 holes by Sunday evening should not be much of an issue unless they weather is severe for the entire weekend. Players have been briskly moving through Firestone South in about four hours flat the first two days -- threesomes will slow that pace a bit, but it's still small enough field to have a bit of a schedule luxury.

Once the players do hit the course, they will have a lot of work to do in order to catch Tiger Woods, who holds a seven-stroke lead at 13-under. Woods was brilliant Friday, firing a 9-under 61 to pull away from the rest of the field and making this his tournament to lose. He actually played the first 13 holes nine under par, giving him a legitimate shot at a round of 59, which is something that's only been done on the PGA Tour five times.

Woods will tee off from No. 1 at approximately 1:10 p.m. ET, and he's playing with Keegan Bradley and Chris Wood, who are tied for second place at 6-under. Coincidentally, it was announced on Friday that Bradley will be Tiger's playing partner next week at the season's final major, the PGA Championship.
