TOUR Championship 2013 final results: Henrik Stenson wins by holding off Jordan Spieth, Steve Stricker

Twenty-year-old Jordan Spieth and veteran Steve Stricker gave Henrik Stenson a run for his money, but Stenson did enough to earn $11.4 million.

Henrik Stenson began the final round of the 2013 TOUR Championship on Sunday with the lead and did enough to finish at 13-under, holding off the trio of Jordan Spieth, Steve Stricker and Webb Simpson.

Stricker moved up the leaderboard and on the 15th hole hit a 23-foot putt for an eagle that put more pressure on Stenson. The 20-year-old Spieth shot a 6-under 64 to finish at 10-under for the event, and Simpson had the best round of the day, shooting a 7-under to finish at 9-under overall.

Stenson, however, shot a 2-under to hang on to a four-shot lead he had to begin Sunday's final round.

The first European to win the TOUR Championship, Stenson didn't fold under the pressure. He bogeyed on the 14th hole and at that point only had a one-shot lead, but made up for the miscue on the next hole with a seven-foot putt for a birdie.

Though Stenson jumped over Tiger Woods -- Woods finished tied for 22nd with an even score -- in the rankings to win the FedEx Cup with the victory at East Lake Golf Club, the most galvanizing player of the day was the young Spieth. He finished out the front nine with four birdies and put another four birdies together in the heart of the back nine to finished tied with Stricker in second place.

Here's a look at the full leaderboard.
