2014 Crowne Plaza Invitational: Tee times, pairings, TV and streaming schedule for Sunday at Colonial

Tom Pennington

There are almost 50 players within five shots of the lead on Sunday at Colonial, where Adam Scott, the new No. 1 player in the world, now sits two shots off the pace.

The Crowne Plaza Invitational will wrap up on Sunday night in Fort Worth, and with 18 holes to go, it's wide open with an extremely bunched-up leaderboard at Colonial. Hideki Matsuyama, a player hailed as one of the elite prospects in the game, will be out in the final pairing with David Toms, a decorated PGA Tour veteran who has not won since 2011, a victory that came in this event.

The pairing exemplifies what makes Colonial such a great and unique venue, the classic layout bringing everyone into the field and rewarding, or penalizing, all styles of play. It's a tight setup where length off the tee isn't a huge advantage, as it is so many weeks at TPC courses. That's how we end up with a final pairing of Toms, a 47-year-old guy who's still steering the ball at a world-class level, and Matsuyama, an outrageously talented 22-year-old who rips it and could be on the verge of the first of many career wins.

But playing in the final group this weekend means little on this clustered leaderboard. Toms and Matsuyama share the lead with the pairing behind them, Chad Campbell and Christ Stroud, who also got into the house on Saturday at 7-under. Six players are one shot back of that pace, and another six are two shots back, a group that includes Adam Scott and Jason Dufner. Scott, the new No. 1 player in the world, started the week a miserable 4-over through his first nine, but he's slowly crept his way back up the leaderboard and then jumped into contention with a third round 66. There's still a chance Henrik Stenson ends Scott's reign at No. 1 after just one week (the many scenarios here), but at least he'll start Sunday with a realistic chance of a chasedown win as opposed to thinking about all the different permutations and calculations for a result that would keep him at the top of the world rankings. He'll be out with fellow Aussie John Senden, teeing off at 1:15 p.m. ET.

The coverage on Sunday at Colonial will again be split between Golf Channel and CBS. Golf Channel will go live at 1 p.m. ET, and then we'll have that customary half-hour blackout as CBS switches into place to go live at 3 p.m. Jim Nantz and Nick Faldo will have the call from Fort Worth. Both networks will provide simulcasts of their TV coverage online. We know we'll be able to see every shot of the leaders, but with so many players in range (49 total within 5 shots), there's a great chance we have our sixth straight come-from-behind winner at the Crowne Plaza Invitational. This remains one of the best courses of the season rota, and the leaderboard should make it a fun Sunday. Here are all your media options for the final round:
