It's moving day at the Memorial Tournament and following an eventful first two days, the third round may qualify as must-see TV. The first 36 holes featured a lot of terrific golf, with one of the best fields of the year tackling the challenging Muirfield Village course well.
Rory McIlroy was a prime example of the good, shooting a 9-under 63 on Thursday and looking like the best player in the world. There was also plenty of bad and McIlroy was again the top example. He carded three straight double bogeys on Friday on his way to a 6-over 78. Heading into the third round, it's anyone's guess what could happen next.

Regardless of what happens, viewers will have a better chance to watch the round live with extended television coverage and multiple online streams. Golf Channel and CBS will split television coverage with Golf Channel set to begin its broadcast at 12:30 p.m. ET. The coverage will continue until 2:30 p.m. There will then be a 30-minute blackout before CBS picks up its coverage at 3 p.m. In all, there will be at least five hours of live coverage. Players will begin teeing off at 7:45 a.m., but the late groups won't hit the course until the mid afternoon with the leaders teeing off after 1 p.m. That should allow viewers to watch most, if not all, of the big shots.
In addition to the television coverage, there will be four ways to watch live golf online. Golf Channel will offer a live simulcast of its coverage via Golf LiveExtra while CBS will stream it's broadcast at CBSSports.com. An expanded look at CBS' coverage, including updates with the SHOTlink technology, will be available via a SHOTLink live stream. The SHOTLink stream will run concurrent with the CBS broadcast, from 3 to 6 p.m.
Watching live golf before television coverage begins at 2:30 p.m. will be a challenge, but viewers will be able to see some early action on PGATour.com. There will be a featured group stream beginning at 9 a.m. The stream will follow one group from the morning wave and another from the afternoon pairings.
Radio coverage will be available on PGA Tour Radio from noon to 6 p.m. Here is a complete look at the third round coverage.
