John Daly wears Hooters pants, finishes dead last by 11 shots

John Daly spent the weekend in Valdosta, wearing Hooters pants and playing more entertaining and terrible golf.

John Daly had a very John Daly weekend on the Web.com Tour, which rolled into Valdosta for the South Georgia Classic. Daly bounces around to various tours and events all over the world at this point, making appearances and playing golf at the same time. In six PGA Tour events this year, he's missed five cuts and had that memorable round of 90 in Tampa, where he made a 12 on a par-4 and played the back nine in 47.

Well, in Valdosta he did that debacle one better, as he went out on the front nine at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in a staggering 48. The stretch included one triple bogey, four double bogeys, and just one regular, unexciting bogey. The round ended with 85 strokes, so in total, it wasn't as bad as that stop in Tampa, but it was an ugly, ugly scorecard (via PGATour.com):

This, by the way, came one day after he shot an 82. At 22-over, he's in dead last ... by 11 shots.

But at least he can say he made the cut, the extra two-day stay allowing him to wear these Hooters pants on the weekend.

Update: According to Daly's girlfriend, the two-time major winner is still suffering from the plantar fasciitis that he said was bothering him during that ugly week in Tampa. She tweets he'll have outpatient surgery on it later this week.
