2013 Indy 500 weather forecast for Pole and Bump Day

Indianapolis 500 Pole Day and Bump Day Weather Forecasts - Meteorologist Brian Neudorff

Scattered showers and storms are possible each afternoon across Indianapolis as we close out the week and head into the weekend. How could these showers and storms affect Indianapolis 500 qualifying?

Stalled boundary across the state of Indiana will keep the threat of showers and storms in the forecast through the end of the week and into the weekend. These are your hit or miss variety showers and storms, and given the size of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway you can get rain in turns 1 and 2 and dry in 3 and 4. While the threat of rain is there, we will have plenty of dry time.

Radar will need to be watched over the next couple of days into the weekend but they should be able to get qualifying in Saturday and Sunday with minimal delays.
