Indy 500 2013: Carb Day schedule and TV coverage

The final practice run at the Indy 500 takes place during Carb Day on Friday.

Like every year, the 2013 Indianapolis 500 will be a week-long extravaganza, culminating in the traditional race on Sunday. But first, we have a number of prerace events, including Carb Day on Friday.

The final practice run will take place on Carb Day, in addition to the Firestone Freedom 100 race, the Hall of Fame induction ceremony and a performance from legendary musical act Poison.

Here's the complete rundown for Friday. You can follow the action on NBC Sports Network.

8 a.m. - Gates Open

8 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. - Social Media Garage Open

8:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. - Vintage Cars on Track

9:30 a.m. - Firestone Pin Distribution

10 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

11 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Indianapolis 500 Final Practice

12 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Firestone Freedom 100 Pre-race

12 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Donald Davidson & A.J. Watson Book Signing

12:30 p.m. - Firestone Freedom 100 Race (40 Laps)

2 p.m. - Indy 500 Pit Stop Challenge

3:30 p.m. - Coors Light Carb Day Concert Feat. Poison

6 p.m. - Gates Close
