With Napoli still unbeaten and Lazio coming off their first loss, this match looks to be the most exciting of the midweek round of Serie A.
On Wednesday evening, two sides that started the season off perfectly will meet. Both Lazio and Napoli dropped points at the weekend, however: Lazio lost to Genoa 1-0, and Napoli were held to a 0-0 draw by ten-man Catania.
But with Juventus also dropping points in their 0-0 draw with Fiorentina on Tuesday, both sides have the chance to take advantage. It's really early in the season to be talking about the scudetto, yet somehow this match has already come to signify what the season holds for Serie A's title contenders. Should either side come away with a clear, convincing victory, they will have made a convincing statement that they intend to challenge Juventus for the right to first place.
