London 2012: Event Schedule, TV Coverage For Tuesday

21 gold medals will be given out on Day 11 of the London Olympics as the United States and China continue to battle for control of the medal count.

The gymnastics portion of the games comes to a close with four gold medals, with Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman trying to win gold on their individual apparatuses of the balance beam and floor exercise. Track and field will feature Lolo Jones in the women's 100m hurdles and three American finalists in the men's long jump.

American teams have a lot of chances to advance further in their respective competitions as the knockout phases are underway in most sports: women's basketball takes on Canada at 9 a.m. in what should be an easy victory for the gold medal favorites. Both beach volleyball semifinals feature American teams, as both the duo of Kerri Walsh-Jennings and Misty May-Treanor and that of April Ross and Jen Kessy take to the sand. Indoor volleyball has a quarterfinal against the Dominican Republic while women's water polo looks to book itself a medal with a semifinal game against Italy.

London Olympics: Events, TV Schedule, Streaming For Monday

The 2012 London Olympics continue Monday with men's basketball, gymnastics, and track & field headlining the day's action.

Group play in the men's basketball tournament concludes Monday with the United States returning to the court to face Argentina. Team USA will win Group A with a win, but would finish tied for first with Argentina and lose the tiebreaker with a loss.

Track & Field continues Monday with the men's 400m final and men's 400m hurdles final among the events. The United States swept the men's 400m hurdles medals at the 2008 Olympics and will look to do the same in 2012. Angelo Taylor and Kerron Clement who won gold and sliver respectively in 2008 will both run again in 2012.

2012 Olympics: TV Coverage, Event Schedule For Sunday

Day 9 of the London Olympics promises to be a busy day, with 24 gold medals up for grabs. A number of notable events and athletes will be in action on Sunday.

The women's doubles and men's singles gold medal matches headline the Day 9 action in Tennis. Serena and Venus Williams will attempt to repeat as Olympic gold medalists in women's doubles. The Williams sisters previously won gold in 2008 and 2000. Roger Federer will try to win his first Olympic gold medal when he faces Andy Murray.

There will be six gold medal events in track & field Sunday, with the most notable being the men's 100m final. Usain Bolt will look to repeat as Olympic champion in the event, but he will have stiff competition from fellow countryman Yohan Blake and the American Tyson Gay among others.

The 2012 Olympics continue Saturday with the eighth day of competition from London. Saturday's events include a number of swimming and track & field finals, two sports the United States is expected to excel in.

The swimming events include the men's and women's 4x100 medley relays. The United States' women's 4x100m team includes 2012 Olympic stars Rebecca Soni and Missy Franklin. Michael Phelps already set the career record for Olympic medals, but he will go for another in the men's 4x100m medley relay.

There are six track & field finals scheduled Saturday, including the women's 100m final. Jamaica swept the medals in the women's 100m at the 2008 Olympics, but American Carmelita Jeter won the 2011 World Championship and will now look to add an Olympic medal to her resume. London 2012 Olympics: Event Schedule, TV Coverage For Friday

Alright the weekend is here. Whether you're allowed summer hours and can catch up on live action during the afternoon or need appointment television for the evening, there's plenty to watch and enjoy as the 2012 Summer Olympics head into the second full weekend of competition.

The biggest events will be broadcast in primetime, naturally, as Michael Phelps, Missy Franklin and Cullen Jones all chase gold at the London Aquatics Center. Phelps will look to defend in the 100m butterfly. Franklin will hope to cruise to her fourth medal of these games in the 200m backstroke and Jones will have to proverbially sprint to victory in the 50m freestyle.

2012 Summer Olympics: Event Schedule, TV Coverage, Streaming For Wednesday

The fifth day of the 2012 London Olympics will begin with the United States and China continuing its battle for dominance in the medal count. As things stand the two nations are tied at 23 medals apiece, but China holds a 13-9 lead in gold medals. Both countries will have several chances to pick up some more hardware on Wednesday.

Among the gold medal events athletes from the United States will compete in include two cycling events: the men's and women's individual time trial. Kristin Armstrong and Amber Neben will go for gold in the women's event while Taylor Phinney rides for the men's team.

NBC's primetime coverage will include the men's all-around gymnastics champion, which will feature the United States' John Orozco and Danell Leyva. But for those looking to watch it live, NBCOlympics.com will have a stream available when it takes place at 11:30 a.m. ET.

The day's swimming events will include Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte and Missy Franklin. To catch them and the rest of the action, here are some highlights from the day's television schedule (all times Eastern):

Summer Olympics 2012: TV Coverage, Event Schedule For Tuesday

The fourth day of the 2012 Olympic Games happens Tuesday in London. The United States will open the day tied with China for the overall medal count lead and looking to close the gap in total gold medals.

Tuesday's marquee event will be the gold medal finals in women's team gymnastics, although there will of course be a full day of action, including plenty of gold medal swimming events. Swimming, gymnastics and diving will take up the lion's share of NBC's prime time coverage.

The USA men's basketball team will play against Tunisia at 5:15 p.m. ET and, like all events at the XXX Olympiad, will be available for live streaming at NBCOlympics.com. You can also catch the live telecast on NBC Sports Network.

Here is the full schedule of events for Wednesday. All times are Eastern, although all NBC coverage will air on tape delay at the same time in each time zone.

London 2012: Event Schedule, TV, Streaming For Monday

The 2012 London Olympics continue Monday with some high-profile team sports continuing their preliminary rounds and some big events heading for the medal stand, such as men's team gymnastics.

The events start off at 4 a.m. Eastern, 9 a.m. local time with New Zealand vs. South Korea in men's field hockey on NBC Sports Network and Croatia vs. China in women's basketball on the special Olympic Basketball channel. Some more good stuff gets going just an hour later at 5 a.m. Eastern with China vs. Switzerland in women's beach volleyball, also on NBC Sports.

As the day moves on, Bravo continues with its complete coverage of all tennis matches, played at the All England Lawn and Tennis Club -- better known as the site of Wimbledon -- from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern. Women's water polo between Spain and China begins MSNBC's Olympic schedule at 9 a.m. Eastern, while NBC Sports becomes the home of SB Nation's favorite Olympic event, equestrian, until 12:45 p.m.

Team USA starts to get some more airtime, as qualifying events in swimming -- including the 200m freestyle, one of Ryan Lochte's events -- start at 10 a.m., and the women's volleyball team takes on Brazil from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Both of those events can be seen on NBC.

Later on NBC, the U.S. women's water polo team takes on Hungary from 2:30-4 p.m. and Team USA's other men's beach volleyball team, Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal, face Poland at 4 p.m.

Women's basketball, led by Geno Auriemma and Diana Taurasi (plus about eight other UConn alumni), will face Angola at 5:15 p.m. on MSNBC. The final live women's beach volleyball event of the day, if you're into that sort of thing, will be on the specialty soccer channel at 5 p.m. between Austria and Australia.

Streaming here, among every other event live, will be the gold medal final in men's 10m platform synchronized diving, at 10 a.m. Eastern, the semifinals and finals of the women's epée in fencing at 1 p.m., the gold medal round in women's 57kg and men's 73kg in Judo at 9 a.m. and the women's 58kg weightlifting medal round at 10:30 a.m. and the men's 62kg weightlifting medal round at 2:30 p.m.

The 2012 London Olympics continue Sunday with a full day of events. The USA men's basketball team's first game of Olympic play will headline the action.

Team USA will play France with the game beginning at 9:30 a.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live in the United States on the NBC Sports Network and can be streamed online at NBCOlympics.com.

Sunday will also be a busy day in swimming with the gold medal finals in the the men's 100m breaststroke, men's 4x100m freestyle relay, women's 100m butterfly and women's 400m freestyle. The swimming finals will be broadcast on NBC beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

2012 Olympics: Event Schedule, TV Coverage For Saturday

With the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony over and done with, we can now get to the actual events in the Summer Games. The games get started as early as 4 a.m. ET and will last until as late as midnight. The day gets kicked off with some Beach Volleyball qualifying.

The day will also feature some key evens like swimming qualifying (11 a.m. ET on NBC) and the first round of tennis matches which well be shown on Bravo.

The games will be shown on a variety of networks throughout the day and also be streamed live online at the NBCOlympics.com website.

London Olympics 2012: Event Schedule, TV Coverage For Friday

Although some Olympic competitions have begun, the 2012 London Olympics officially begin with Friday's Opening Ceremony.

The Opening Ceremony is typically one of the most notable events of the Olympic games, and 2012 figures to be no different. The Opening Ceremony will be produced and directed by Oscar winning movie director Danny Boyle. More than 15,000 people will participate in the opening and closing ceremonies, including an expected appearance by Paul McCartney.

In addition to performances, the Opening Ceremony will also feature the parade of athletes, the arrival of the Olympic Flame and the lighting of the cauldron, among other events.

The 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony will take place in London's Olympic Stadium at 9 p.m. local time. It will air on tape delay in the United States beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET. It will be even further delayed for West Coast viewers, beginning at 7:30 PT. The Opening Ceremony will not be available via an online stream.
