Men's 400m IM Finals Livestream: Where To Watch Michael Phelps Vs. Ryan Lochte

Stay connected with SB Nation

The highlight on Day 1 of the 2012 Summer Olympics, and indeed one of must-see events of the entire Games, is the men's 400m IM finals, the first of two (expected) duels between Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps. The event is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. London time, which is 2:30 p.m. ET, but if you're looking to actually see this must-see showdown, don't look on your TV. At least, not if you want to watch it live.

NBC is tape-delaying much of the swimming, including the 400m IM finals, for primetime Saturday night, beginning at 8 p.m. ET (West Coast, expect to get it some time next week). But all is not lost!

Apparently finally learning of this wild new thing called the Internet, NBC is showing every sport and event online, live, for free (assuming you are a cable subscriber, of course) -- if you like the Olympics, go ahead and get friendly with NBC's Live Extra.

Here's the livestream for the men's 400m IM finals, which is set to begin at 2:26 p.m. ET, on the NBC Olympics site. As soon as the race ends, we'll have the results here in this StoryStream.

We'll have updates of all the swimming events, plus all the action in London, on our 2012 Summer Olympics page.
