The best part about this video from Team USA's victory over France isn't any one player hugging Michelle Obama, but the way they all line up one-by-one, including each one of the coaches. The best basketball team in the world was suddenly transformed into a bunch of kindergartners.
Did this just happen after LeBron hugged her--like the friend who hugs someone who's leaving a party, then everyone has to hug her? Or was this all planned beforehand?
However it happened, Michelle is now the Official Soccer Mom to USA Basketball and it's great. Maybe next time she can hand out some orange slices along with all those "Good Job Good Effort" hugs.
Either that, or she could graduate from hugs to some of those intricate, five-part handshakes that NBA players mastered years ago. Her husband's already off to good start, but by the end of the Games, we need to get Michelle involved in one of these Monta Ellis numbers.
