Olympics 2012 Women's Volleyball: Misty May-Treanor, Kerri Walsh Jennings Still Undefeated

Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings continued their Olympic dominance Monday, winning their preliminary-round match against the Czech Republic in straight sets.

The two-time gold medalists remained undefeated in Olympic play, winning their 16th straight match. May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings knocked off the Czech team 21-14, 21-19. Now in their third Olympic games, the duo has never lost a set in Olympic play.

They were challenged Monday, trailing the Czech Republic team of Marketa Slukova and Kristyna Kolocova 18-15 at one point during the second set. The Americans rallied back to tie the match at 18 before later pulling away and winning 21-19.

They have now won their first two matches of group play and lead group C with four points. Next up, they will face the Austrian team in their final match of the preliminary round. The top 16 teams then advance to the next round.
