Remember when Andy Roddick was awesome? That was really cool. He hasn't been among the world's elite men's tennis players for a long time, and he was completely overmatched by Novak Djokovic on Tuesday at the London 2012 Olympics. Losing to Djokovic in straight sets is hardly embarrassing, but Roddick was far from his best in a 6-2, 6-1 Djokovic victory.

Roddick used to live on his very difficult to return serve, but he only managed five aces to Djokovic's 14. He appeared resigned to his fate after Djokovic's first break in the second set and allowed the Serbian to cruise to a 54-minute victory. Djokovic won 86 percent of points on his first serve and converted on all four of his break point opportunities during the match. The second-seeded Djokovic now awaits the winner of the second-round match between Australian Lleyton Hewitt and Serbian Marin Cilic.
