Khatuna Lorig may have just missed out on a medal for Team USA in the women's archery individual bronze medal match Thursday, but she did pull off an almost equally impressive feat: A dead-on perfect bullseye.
The arrow doesn't stick to the board because there's a camera in the way. As in, the production team for archery got together and decided "no one will ever hit this!" and stuck a lens dead center on the board. That's from a distance of 70 meters, by the way.
Neat gifs notwithstanding, Mariana Avitia of Mexico won the match, 6-2, in four sets to take the bronze medal. Lorig scored two points in the third set, but was otherwise shut out.
Ki Bo Bae continued South Korea's dominance of the sport by winning the gold medal match, 6-5, over another Mexican competitor, Aida Roman, in a shoot-off. The match came down to one arrow, and though both archers hit the 8-point ring, Bo Bae's was closest to center, giving her the gold.
