Usain Bolt is definitely planning to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, but may try some different events in Brazil.

Usain Bolt said Wednesday that he plans to be in Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Summer Olympics, opening up speculation to see exactly what other world record he might be able to break.

The Jamaican runner isn't planning to only focus on the same events he ran in London, however, as he's decided that the 400-meter and long jump events are both appealing to him as well. That is, of course, as long as he's healthy while training for Brazil.

"Yes definitely I will be there (in Rio), as long as I'm fit and I'm ready," Bolt said at a promotional event in Lausanne on Wednesday. "It'll be a little bit harder but I'm looking forward to it."

For most onlookers, it'd seem that Bolt would be best off continuing in the same events he's recently dominated as he prepares for another go-around. The 26-year-old said he has different objectives, though, citing his goals -- and his coach.

"It's just about making different goals, there's a lot of things I can do in the sport," Bolt said. "My coach wants me to do 400 meters, I want to try long jump. I could always try to aim for the records again, so there's different things but after the season we'll decide what we want to do and work on that next season."

Bolt showed he's one of the world's top athletes in London, so it'd be wise not to count him out if he decides to try new events in Rio -- and, with him, it'll be interesting either way.
