It is another full day of action at the 2012 Olympics on Saturday. Several gold medal events are already in the books.

Saturday was a big day for the United States shooting team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In the women's 50m rifle 3 positions, American Jamie Lynn Gray set a new Olympic record with a final score of 691.9, shortly after setting an Olympic record in qualifying, at 592 -- just two points shy of tying the world record. This is the first gold medal for Gray. Ivana Maksimovic of Serbia took the silver and Adela Sykorova won the bronze medal for the Czech Republic.

There are plenty of other gold medal events that have already wrapped up on Saturday. In the women's trap shooting event, no American shooters qualified for the final. Jessica Rossi of Italy took the gold, Zuzana Stefecekova of Slovia won the silver and Delphine Reau of France ended up with the bronze.

The finals of the women's singles in badminton also took place. Xuerui Li defeated Yihan Wang in an all-China final to capture the gold, while Saina Nehwal of India spoiled China's chances of a clean sweep at the podium, as she defeated Xin Wang in the bronze medal game.

There was a surprising finish in the finals of women's trampoline, which is one of the very finest of all Olympic events. Wenna He looked to be well on her way to a second straight gold medal in the event when she mistimed her leap and stumbled at the very end of her routine. The flub affected her score so drastically that she had to settle for the bronze, giving the gold medal to Canadian Rosannagh MacLennan. It was Canada's first gold medal of the 2012 Olympics. Shanshan Huang of China captured the silver medal.
