Field hockey lesbians of the Netherlands stay undefeated. Jessica Harrison gets top-10 finish. Imke Duplitzer and Germany finish fifth.
Here is an update on some of the gay Olympians competing today and this weekend.
Imke Duplitzer, Germany, Fencing
Germany finished the team epee event in fifth place. They lost their quarterfinal match to gold-medalist China, 45-42, then beat Ukraine and Romania in the consolation bracket.
Jessica Harrison, France, Triathlon
Harrison finished ninth in the triathlon with a time of 2:01:22. That's quite a good finish; She was in the top 20% of the 55 triathletes in the race. She was 1:34 behind the winner, Nicola Spirig of Switzerland.
Netherlands Women's Field Hockey - Marilyn Agliotti, Carlien Dirkse van den Heuvel, Kim Lammers, Maartje Paumen
The Dutch continued their march to the medal round with a 3-2 victory over Korea. Dirkse van den Heuvel scored one of the game-winning goal in the second half. They have officially qualified for the medal round and will take the top seed with a victory or tie against Great Britain; A loss would put the Brits ahead of the Dutch.
Carole Peon, France, Triathlon
Peon, Harrison's partner, finished 29th in the race, just over four minutes behind the winner.
