WINDSOR, ENGLAND - AUGUST 04: Scott Gault, Charles Cole, Henrik Rummel and Glenn Ochal of the United States celebrate with their bronze medals during the medal ceremony for the Men's Four Final on Day 8 of the London 2012 Olympic Games at Eton Dorney on A
Now we know what it takes to get some national attention for the sport or rowing.
Gay readers have been all over the medal podiums of rowing events for years. Now the rest of the world sees why.
Never before has a bronze-medal rower gotten so much attention as the U.S. Men's Four has received after the medal ceremony on Saturday. As the medalists always do, the four men -- Scott Gault, Charles Cole, Henrik Rummel and Glenn Ochal -- stood before the cameras and the medal presenter in their official uniforms ... which are skin-tight.
Rummel in particular got so much attention for the photo, he felt he had to respond, as he did on Reddit today:
This is me and I swear it's not erect! I don't know why it ended up in that position but there you go.
Any doubt that the Reddit poster is Rummel was squashed when he posted a photo of himself and a girl with today's date on it.
The responses on Reddit have been, how can I say ... colorful.
There you go.
