Vernon Davis gets tackled by, um, you know, um, yeah

His, uhh, yeah, um, you know.

Here at SB Nation, we consider ourselves experts in the category of "funny sports-penis happenings." We pride ourselves on it.

However, we can't quite recall seeing something like this: Vernon Davis getting tackled by T.J. McDonald with the tackle mainly focusing on Davis' groinal region.

There's really nothing we can say here. That's not a neighborhood play or anything, he's just ... yankin' away at Mr. Davis. It hurt Vernon:

He sat out a play for rather obvious reasons, but eventually returned to play.

In other news: VERNON WEAR A CUP EVERYBODY WEARS HELMETS AND I KNOW CONCUSSIONS ARE REALLY SERIOUS BUT OMG VERNON WEAR A CUP ARE YOU INSANE IT CAN'T BE THAT UNCOMFORTABLE IN COMPARISON TO HOW PAINFUL THIS LOOKS. Also, we will forever picture this when a player is referred to as having a "pulled groin."

Also, if Vernon was a QB behind the line of scrimmage, we would call this a "nut-sack."

Davis made his opinions felt Monday in an (eventually-deleted) tweet:

It should be a league rule saying that a defender can not tackle a player by his penis. #NFL the most painful thing ever! #NFL
