Alabama family names son 'Krimson Tyde'

Eileen Blass-USA TODAY Sports

ROOOOOLLLLLLL BABIES

UPDATE: The Steeles have spoken, and it turns out their child is a boy:

"To people speaking negatively about us naming him Krimson, it's not their child nor family member so if they have nothing nice to say they don't need to say nothing at all," Thompson said. Thompson took to Facebook to clarify the baby's gender after some media outlets erroneously reported that Krimson was a girl.

Congratulations to the Steele family of Andalusia, Alabama on the birth of their daughter! We are going to go out on a limb and guess they are fans of Alabama football:

We like that they opted to use the "K" and "Y" instead of just going "Crimson Tide." On the other hand, THEY'RE ACTUALLY NAMING THEIR CHILD KRIMSON TYDE. This is just asking him to rebel and go to Auburn.

Other options:

  • Saban Steele
  • Rammer Jammer Steele
  • PAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWL Steele (recommended for boys)
  • Roll Steele (also the name of that movie where robots fight)

It's worth noting that noted crazy person and tree poisoner Harvey Updyke named his son Crimson as well.
