Metta World Peace has had some trouble keeping track of game times during these NBA Finals, so it makes sense that he'd be anxious about missing Thursday night's momentous Game 7 between the Spurs and Heat. This, however, seems like overkill:
I'm up because I don't want to miss the game. And I don't know what time it starts. Ill just stay at coffee bean . My favorite coffee shop!— Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) June 20, 2013
I think the game will start in 3hrs. Miami fans,, hurry !!! Wake up!! The game is starting! Popovich , James the refs are ready!— Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) June 20, 2013
If I'm sleep can yal wake me up. I don't want to miss this game like I did my graduation.— Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) June 20, 2013
These tweets are from about 3 AM Pacific time. The game starts at 6 PM Pacific time (there's your answer, Metta, if you're reading this). World Peace is surely kidding, but just imagine the Game 7 tweets we'd see from a Metta World Peace who'd been awake and caffeinating for 16 straight hours. The world isn't ready.
Anyway, this all supports the theory that Metta World Peace exists within his own, constantly shifting time zone that follows him wherever he goes. No matter where he is, Metta abides by Metta Standard Time.
