Rochdale AFC's grass will look better this season, and it it thanks to some confiscated marijuana lamps.
The Greater Manchester Police confiscated the lamps from a marijuana grower and didn't have much use for them themselves, so Sargant Andy Fern donated the lamps to the club. The club, which doesn't have the £25,000 that each lamp costs were only too happy to take them.

The stadium is also used for rugby so it can get beat up and the heat lamps will help warm the soil during the winter, allowing it to grow.
"I can't thank police enough," head groundsman Oli Makin told the BBC. "It has saved the club a fortune and the players will be happy, especially the goalkeeper."
Has anyone asked the goalkeeper if he would rather have good grass or good weed, though?
