Detroit goaltender Jimmy Howard will be sporting this brand new mask when the Red Wings host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night.
The NHL's Hockey Fights Cancer campaign began in October and is used to raise awareness for organizations who are involved in cancer care and research.
This isn't the first time that Howard has used his pads as a way to raise awareness; He donned a whole new set of gear for last year's Hockey Fights Cancer night when the Red Wings hosted the Philadelphia Flyers:

Howard won't be the only one bringing awareness to the cause, as the Washington Capitals have announced that their goaltenders -- Braden Holtby and Justin Peters -- will wear special masks as well:
