Team USA has an image problem. Okay, so maybe April Fool's day wasn't the best time to launch the away kit for the World Cup. It's left people saying "Is this a joke?" and "Oh great, we look like France!" The problem isn't the jersey, it's how it was presented.
A bunch of celebrities and Andrew Luck in flesh-colored pants wont prompt sales, people will. Real, sweat-of-your-brow Americans need people they can relate to. Nike can choose to do whatever they want, we believe there's a far better way to spread the message to the public.
