Fan bets on Rory McIlroy after seeing his face in a pastry

This could be the most expensive Danish ever.

Are you the superstitious type? Maybe before the game you eat the same thing or you always need to sit in the same chair. Take that a few steps further and perhaps you're betting big money based on the face you see in a Danish... wait, what?

A 27-year-old college lecturer in England decided to drop a $1600 bet on Rory McIlroy to win The Masters after seeing the golfer's face in his breakfast. The man planned to make a bet anyway, but told The Mirror that his pastry was trying to tell him something.

"It's got to be a sign - Rory's face on a piece of food from his girlfriend's home country. My mates have had a giggle and think I'm mad, but if I pocket €14,400, I'll be the one laughing."

There's no word whether he ate the pastry, but it looks a little dry.
