Erick Aybar makes Mariners look dumb, steals base between at-bats

Maybe call time or pay attention a little, guys?

There is defensive indifference, and then there is the Mariners forgetting that Erick Aybar is on first base after a shallow David Freese fly out:

Aybar-lol

You can still see Freese jogging back to the dugout, and Howie Kendrick taking his warm-up swings, and then Aybar just takes off while no one on the Mariners is paying attention. The Angels' television crew didn't see it coming, either -- this is where their cameras were during the steal:

Somehow, this -- the steal, not Albert in his pants -- is the second time this has happened in a month. Get it together, baseball defenses.

(h/t R.J. Anderson for alerting me to this moment in Mariners' history)
