Randy Wittman promised the Wizards he'd dunk

The Wizards' coach told his team he'd dunk if they beat the Bulls in the first round of the playoffs. Now, it's time to pay up.

Remember the good 'ol days, when a man's word was his bond? Washington Wizards coach Randy Wittman is the latest example of this age-old truism falling victim to society's whims.

From the Washington Post:

The Wizards players came through on their end of the bargain. Now, they are waiting on Coach Randy Wittman to deliver on his promise to attempt a dunk if the Wizards beat the Chicago Bulls in the first round.

[...]

"Witt got to be a man of his word," [Bradley] Beal said of his coach's planned dunk attempt. "He was supposed to do it last round. He had up until the first game to dunk. You know Witt, he needs a couple days to get stretched out. Hopefully he'll do it. I think he can do it. Maybe."

Wittman was a very good player in the 80s for the Atlanta Hawks, but that was a long time ago. This doesn't inspire much confidence.

Still, a man's word is a man's word. Pay up, Randy. You can do this (via @SwedenDC).
