Word Cup Brazil 2014 teams combined with their national dog. So cute! pic.twitter.com/fZZ9WHuofu— ♡Drea Al Ghul♡ (@DreaAlGhul) June 6, 2014
In retrospect, the only surprising thing about seeing these various "national dogs" Photoshopped into the uniforms of their respective World Cup teams is that we are somehow only seeing it now. Not now as in Friday afternoon -- that is the perfect time to see it -- but now as in How, Given The Way The Internet Is, Had This Not Happened Sooner.
At any rate, it was clearly time. Time to consider which of these dogs look the most like actual soccer players -- I would go with Argentina Doggy, Japan Doge and Mexican Intense Chihuahua, in that order. Time to ponder what exactly the words "national dog" mean, if they mean anything at all. Time to give that droopy Brazilian guy a treat. Yes. Yes, a good boy gets a treat.
