Congratulations to the New York Yankees, who won the 10,000th game in franchise history on Thursday night and clinched a playoff berth in the process. It's the Bronx Bombers' first trip to the playoffs since 2012.
A three-year playoff drought isn't a big deal for most baseball teams, but when you have the history of a team like the Yankees, missing the playoffs for that long is a big deal, so you can understand why the team was so excited to get the monkey off their back tonight. Just look how happy Alex Rodriguez was to make it back to the postseason:

That's the face of a man in pure ecstasy, but also the face of a man who just remembered how much champagne burns if it gets into your eye.
Of course, not everyone handles success quite like A-Rod. John Ryan Murphy remained very calm as he explained how the Yankees are handling their return to the playoffs:
It's been fun, I really don't know how to react. So far, so good, I think everybody's on the same page, and that page is drinking.
It's always better when you deliver a great quote in a deadpan manner. So well done @JRMurphy513. pic.twitter.com/Qqa1TqlQU0

Don't get us wrong, we're happy for the Yankees. They overcame a lot to make it back to the playoffs, but calm down a bit fellas. You know wild card teams have to play a game just to get into the divisional series now, right?
