In one of the weirder displays of preseason team-building, Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin donned a white tuxedo at a coach talent show Friday night and sang a song, or at least said words set to noises made by musical instruments, about the Dolphins.
The song, whose lyrics include "When the Dolphins come to town / We ain't gonna mess around," was supposed to be threatening, I guess, but, uh, again, the white tuxedo, and the top hat and the cane, and Joe Philbin, and Joe Philbin in a white tuxedo with a top hat and a cane.
There was an accompanying dance, of course, featuring Philbin hopping around the stage like a demented Mr. Peanut:
The players, for their part, seemed to appreciate the one-time motivational pilgrim's display.

The tux tunes were only the latest in a series of less-than-conventional moves by the coach. On Thursday, Philbin took the team to see Straight Outta Compton. Where might they go next?
Philbin's a changed man, maybe I can convince him to detour up to @WyndhamChamp to see @TigerWoods before the game tonight.
