With the Cubs winning the World Series, the city of Chicago figures to be one giant party for the foreseeable future. Theo Epstein will probably be right in the middle of it.
It didn’t take him long to figure out what his next plan was after guiding the Cubs to a championship.

“Jed [Hoyer] is in charge, I’m going on a bender,” Epstein joked after the game. Except he might not be joking. He interrupted Hoyer — the Cubs general manager — during an interview on MLB Network and reiterated his plan.
Theo: "I’m relinquishing my presidential duties. Jed is in charge. I’m going on a monthlong bender. Wake me up for the winter meetings."

It’d be a well-deserved celebration after all the work he put in getting the Cubs to this point. If you’re out in the city of Chicago during the next month or so, you might just run into a very happy Theo Epstein.
Just don’t try to text him congrats while a game is still happening. He revealed what he thinks about people who do that.
