"That wasn't a suspension from the organization. That was a suspension from the head coach," Kings center DeMarcus Cousins said.

DeMarcus Cousins was hit with a one-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team after an in-game incident involving him and head coach George Karl.
Cousins yelled at Karl, prompting general manager Vlade Divac to speak on the situation:
"Well, obviously we tried to do our best thing to send a message that we cannot tolerate some stuff ... He went a little far and we have to do things to be on the same page."
Despite Divac's insistence that the suspension would somehow force Karl and Cousins to work together, this only seemed to exacerbate their relationship. Cousins is adamant that the punishment is solely the works of Karl and not the NBA or the team. This may get worse before it gets any better.
