UFC 196 gave not just one, but two upsets and they were both the co-main event. To make matters even more surprising, both upsets were the result of submissions. For Miesha Tate, it was an early submission that rendered then-champion Holly Holm weak throughout the later rounds, resulting in an eventual win. Holm didn't tap but was unable to continue the fight.
Conor McGregor, on the other hand, succumbed to submission by Nate Diaz in the second round of their fight. There are very few people that could have predicted both fights considering that Holm and McGregor were heavy favorites entering Saturday's card. But there was someone, or rather, something that inadvertently predicted that both fighters would lose: a nightclub.
Both Holly Holm and Conor McGregor were scheduled to appear at the Surrender Nightclub at Encore for an afterfight party.
