Bat flips are great, or at least they're meant to be great, especially when one hits a home run. (Yes, we still love Joey Bats' moment.) Sometimes bat flips happen accidentally, however. And sometimes accidental bat flips can be hazardous. The Cardinals' Matt Holliday learned the hard way when, after getting a walk, he tried to simply throw his bat away. Instead, the bat apparently got stuck to his hand, then flew up and over the home plate umpire, almost hitting him in the process. Maybe just set the bat on the ground if it feels a little sticky next time.
