Gregg Popovich hoped for something great from his San Antonio Spurs bench in the second round against the Oklahoma City Thunder -- something he's gotten in past playoff runs -- but he didn't get it. San Antonio didn't get much of a boost from its role players, and lost in six games. On the scope of the NBA playoffs, that's important. On the galactic scope, that's really nothing:

Gregg Popovich was asked a question about bench play and ended up talking about newly discovered habitable planets pic.twitter.com/aycSnGse7a

"1,200 habitable planets, and last night somebody lost a basketball game. Come on. Get over yourself."
I'll take that response (which, it should be noted, came after some legit consideration over the question) over grumpy Pop simply refusing to give real answers Thursday night.
(btw sources say that on at least 4 of those habitable planets, lineups featuring Kevin Martin and Kyle Anderson at the same time might have succeeded.)
