Katie Ledecky was a beast at the 2016 Olympics, bringing home four gold medals and one silver, and breaking records she set herself. It's safe to say that, as Michael Phelps ends his Olympic career, Ledecky's the new face of USA Swimming. It even feels like he's personally passing the torch on to her, especially when they recreated their meeting from 2006.
As a bookend to this, Sports Illustrated had Ledecky, Phelps and Simone Biles grace their latest cover with the medals they won in Rio:
But before that, Phelps, who's a seasoned veteran at wearing so many gold medals at once, helped Ledecky with some tips on the optimal way to wear them. "I put them on one-by-one, then tuck them behind," Phelps tells Ledecky, who responded with incredulity. And that's a helpful tip from someone who has a feeling Ledecky's going to win more gold in the future, like a proud big brother.
