A highlight of last year’s NFL combine (or lowlight, depending on who you ask) was when Chris Jones ran his 40-yard dash and his penis popped out of his shorts. It was very embarrassing, but Jones made it to the NFL anyway when the Chiefs drafted him in the second round.
Since it’s NFL combine weekend, Jones talked to TMZ to give some advice to the prospects. Basically, don’t let your penis pop out of your shorts:
OK. He started off with some facetious advice:
“Whatever you do, do it balls out.”
But then he explained what happened that day:
“I was actually wearing boxers instead of tights. [So I would] tell everyone, ‘Please wear tights.’”
And if he would do it all over again, he’d still wear boxers instead of tights:
“I would put the boxers back on, dog. [laughs] I’m going back with the boxers. If I could do it all over again, I’d do it in the same way, man. Make it fall out properly at the five instead of the 10 this time.”
Still, to all those at the combine, try not to let your penis pop out accidentally, and if it happens, try to find the humor in it like Jones did for the past year. It’ll be a sentence on your Wikipedia page, but you’ll have a good story to tell.
