2010 World Series: Schedule For Rangers-Giants Series Released
The Rangers are in the World Series for the first time in franchise history, and the Giants have made the Fall Classic for the first time in eight years. The 2010 World Series will get underway this Wednesday.
The Giants will have home-field advantage as a result of the National League's 3-1 win in the 2010 All-Star Game — finally, something the Giants can thank Brian McCann for — and will host Games 1 and 2, and Games 6 and 7, if necessary, at AT&T Park in San Francisco. Game 1 is on Wednesday, October 27th, and Game 2 is on Thursday, October 28th; Game 6 would be on Wednesday, November 3rd, and Game 7 on Thursday, November 4th. Game 1 should also pit aces Cliff Lee and Tim Lincecum against each other in one of the better pitching matchups in a postseason filled with them.
Then the series shifts to Rangers Ballpark in Arlington for Games 3, 4, and 5, which will happen on Saturday, October 30th, Sunday, October 31st, and Monday, November 1st.
For your convenience, a full schedule is listed below. And for more information on the Rangers and Giants, visit Lone Star Ball and McCovey Chronicles.
Note that all games will be broadcast by FOX.
