Earlier Tuesday night, it was reported that Seattle Mariners outfielder Milton Bradley has been arrested in Los Angeles County for violating California penal code section 422. Via Geoff Baker, we get a few more details.
Bradley was arrested at his home at 10:40am for allegedly threatening an unidentified woman. He was released later in the afternoon on $50,000 bail. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department website has further information online, noting that Bradley was booked at 12:53pm and released at 5:43pm. He's scheduled for a court date on February 8th, at 8:30am.
It's just the latest unfortunate incident for a guy with a long and colorful history, and one has to wonder if Bradley has exhausted his final opportunity. Just 32 years of age, it is very possible that Milton Bradley has played his final game in Major League Baseball, as it's difficult to imagine that some team would consider his potentially helpful offense worth all the distractions that come along with it.
