Dontrelle Willis Still Struggling, Cut By Reds

And in the spring's least surprising news (via WLWT.com):

Willis agreed to a minor league deal with the Reds in November. He was trying to win a spot in Cincinnati's bullpen, but walked 11 in 9-plus innings this spring. He also had no record with a 9.31 ERA.

While Willis may be down, he's not out. Willis will most likely be sent down to get some more innings and stretch out his arm.

What is this? Steve Martin as Theodoric of York, Medieval Pitching Coach? Is there really any chance that "stretching out his arm" will solve the control nightmares that have plagued Willis for three years (going on four)? Everyone would love to see him pitching well again, but usually if you haven't cured Steve Blass Disease after three years, you're not going to.
