Mark your calendar: Today might have seen the single biggest hit of Spring Training 2011. Via MLB.com:
Twins first baseman Justin Morneau returned to game action on Tuesday morning during a "B" game against the Pirates on a back field at the Lee County Sports Complex.
--snip--
Morneau started at first base against the Pirates and batted fourth in the lineup. He went 1-for-2 with a three-run double, playing four innings at first base.
You always had to figure Morneau would play well ... once he was actually cleared to play. Which he hasn't been for the last eight months. If he's really back, the Twins just took a small (but significant) lead in the American League Central Derby.
