It's been a rough week for the Boston Red Sox. After completing a historic meltdown on Wednesday night while landing on the wrong end of a thrilling few hours of baseball, the attention turned to whether Terry Francona would be retained or not. The media swarmed, fans offered opinions and, finally, Francona and the Red Sox decided to part ways on Friday.
And then this happened.
Red Sox President Larry Lucchino told WBZ-AM that Henry was injured in a minor incident on the boat. The station also reported that Henry walked off the boat with a neck brace on.
A yachting-related injury. This is how the week ends. Red Sox owner John Henry injures himself on his yacht shortly after the Francona decision is announced.
Great week in Boston.
