Yankees Vs Tigers Highlight Monday Odds Action

There's good stuff going on around Major League Baseball this week, with playoff contenders meeting for several series. Here's a quick look at some of this week's early action.

The Diamondbacks, four games back in the NL West, are in Pittsburgh for four games with the Pirates, who still cling to one of the two NL Wild-Card berths.

The Yankees, who are only 11-11 since the All-Star break, are in Detroit for four games with the Tigers. The Rangers, who have rebuilt their lead in the AL West to 5.5 games, are in Boston for three games with the Red Sox.

In St. Louis the Cardinals, 2.5 games behind the Pirates in that NL Wild-Card battle, host the NL West-leading Giants for four games.

And in a big series in the AL Wild-Card race the Angels hit Oakland for three games with the A's.

As of Monday AM, sportsbooks were listing Boston as a -120 favorite to win its series with Texas; Detroit is a -120 favorite for its series with New York; Pittsburgh is chalked at -130 for its series with Arizona; St. Louis is a -140 favorite to win its series with San Fran; and the Angels are -145 favorites for their series in Oakland.
