Sometimes, it's hard to believe the St. Louis Cardinals have not sold their collective souls to the devil.
The Dodgers were posing a threat to the Cardinals one-run lead in the bottom of the sixth inning with runners on first and second and one out. So the Cardinals brought in Seth Maness to relieve Lance Lynn and, on just his third pitch, Maness got a grounder that led to an inning-ending double-play.
Really, though. How do the Cardinals do it? Please pass the magical formula around, Cardinals. You are too lucky and too good, all the time. Let someone else use the toys every now and then.
