The Cardinals have made just one change to their team, but it's a big one. First baseman Allen Craig is back after missing over six weeks due to a Lisfranc injury in his foot, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. At the beginning of the playoffs, general manager John Mozeliak said it would be unlikely for Craig to return this season. He beat those odds and is set to help the team as a designated hitter and pinch-hitter. The injury will prevent Craig from playing in the field.
The Red Sox, meanwhile, are going with the exact same roster that won them both the ALDS and ALCS, reports Alex Speier of WEEI.. That's good news for Boston, where there were some concerns about starting pitcher Clay Buchholz. Buchholz has struggled in the playoffs and came out after 85 pitches in the NLCS. The Red Sox say they still expect him to start either Game 3 or Game 4 of the World Series.
