2013 World Series: Red Sox vs. Cardinals Game 4 starting lineups

Jarrod Saltalamacchia is out of the Red Sox lineup, while Pete Kozma will not start at shortstop for the Cardinals.

Both the Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals have announced their starting lineups for Game 4 the 2013 World Series. The Cardinals lead the series 2-1.

The Red Sox made one change to their lineup for Game 4, replacing Jarrod Saltalamacchia at catcher with David Ross. Salty made an ill-advised throw Saturday night, starting the sequence of events that led to Allen Craig scoring the game-winning run on an obstruction call.

The rest of the Boston lineup remains unchanged. The Red Sox official Twitter account sent out a Tweet of their batting order:

The Cardinals will also make a change, starting Daniel Descalso over Pete Kozma at shortstop. Kozma has been a liability at the plate during the postseason, batting .152/.263/.182. Kozma is considered the better defender of the pair, but has not looked sharp in the field during the World Series, committing a pair of costly errors during Game 1.

The rest of the St. Louis batting order will remain the same. Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times tweeted out the Cardinals starting nine:

First pitch is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET, with coverage of the game on FOX.
