Maybe the Dodgers wanted it that way all along.
LA finished an NL-best 45-36 on the road this season behind a strong performance from its pitching staff, which posted a 3.45 ERA away from Dodger Stadium. Clayton Kershaw, who went 8-3 with a 2.14 ERA on the road, will try to continue the success on Thursday in Game 1 of the NLDS, which begins at 8:30 p.m. ET on TBS.
The Braves will counter with Kris Medlen, who recovered from a 1-6 start to win 14 of his final 20 decisions. Medlen finished the season with a 3.11 ERA, a far cry from the 1.57 mark he posted in 2012, but solid nonetheless.
