Athletics chase Sanchez with 2 HRs in fifth

Anibal Sanchez appeared to start the top of the fifth inning well, retiring his first leadoff hitter of the game with a Jed Lowrie strikeout. Brandon Moss had other ideas, launching a 2-2 pitch that caught too much of the plate to right field to give Oakland a 4-3 lead. (.gif couresty @gifdsports)

Yoenis Cespedes followed the Moss homer with a single, then Seth Smith blasted a two-run shot, giving Oakland a 6-3 lead. The homer chased Sanchez, who only allowed nine homers during the regular season:

Jose Alvarez replaced Sanchez.
