Bourjos will miss 2-3 weeks due to the injury, the latest in a series of ailments for the speedy outfielder this season.

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Peter Bourjos has a fracture in his right wrist and will miss 2-3 weeks, reports Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times.

Bourjos had just returned to the Angels' lineup on Saturday following a week where he could not play due to a bruised thumb. Four innings into Saturday's contest against the Houston Astros, Bourjos was struck on his wrist by a Jordan Lyles pitch and was removed from the game.

X-rays later confirmed the fracture and Bourjos will be placed on the disabled list.

The fracture is non-displaced, meaning there is no danger of worsening the injury if he were to hit and throw. Bourjos said he could play if the pain was manageable.

Bourjos, 26, has had a strong 2013 when he has been in the lineup. In 40 games, the speedster has hit .326 with a .385 on-base percentage.

However, for as much success as Bourjos has had at the plate this season, he has had a number of frustrations with injuries. In addition to the two most recent ailments, Bourjos also missed 40 games between May and June with a left hamstring strain.
