A's outfielder Yoenis Cespedes is the final addition to the American League Home Run Derby team.

Athletics outfielder Yoenis Cespedes is the final player added to the American League Home Run Derby team, reports Jane Lee of MLB.com.

The team, picked by Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano, already consisted of Cano, Orioles first baseman Chris Davis, and Tigers first baseman Prince Fielder.

The Home Run Derby will take place on Monday, July 15 at Citi Field in Queens, with the four players picked by Robinson Cano facing off against the four players selected for the National League by Mets third baseman David Wright. The National League team includes Wright and Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper, as well as Rockies outfielders Michael Cuddyer and Carlos Gonzalez.

Cespedes currently has 15 home runs in 2013, and in 2012 he hit a total of 23 home runs. Cespedes' overall production is down relative to a season ago, and while some think participating in the Home Run Derby can hurt a player at the dish, perhaps it can help Cespedes get hot in the second half.
